July 23, 2005: New Line has licensed graphic novel Interman, says Variety. Created and self-published by Jeff Parker, Interman concerns a young man raised in seclusion who discovers he was genetically engineered by the government to be a superhuman killing machine. The military is after him, and he has to fight his instinct to become a killer. "Exorcist: The Beginning" screenwriter Alexi Hawley is writing the adaptation. Jeff Parker says this about the movie development: “They’re working on it. It’s in development... They had a lot of turnover at Paramount, so a lot of new people are in, that weren’t there when it was bought. Thank goodness they’re still interested in doing The Interman. Still happening, as far as I know.” |
