Some ‘Conan’ Casting Updates

It was previously announced that Mickey Rourke would be playing Conan’s dad, Corin, in the upcoming Marcus Nispel directed Conan. Rourke has since left the project – Ron Perlman was cast to replace him.

Mickey Rourke is Conan’s Dad!

Heat Vision is confirming a rumour going around that Mickey Rourke is indeed in negotiations to play Conan’s father in the new upcoming Conan film, to be directed by Marcus Nispel.
Conan stars Jason Momoa as Conan the Barbarian and Leo Howard as his younger version. Filming is expected to start on March 15th in Bulgaria.

Variety has confirmed a CHUD scoop saying that Marcus Nispel will direct Conan for Nu Image/Millennium Films, ending a nine-year development ordeal to reinvent the Robert E. Howard-created barbarian first immortalized onscreen by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1982.
