October 28, 2006: As reported on filmick.blogspot.com: "Apparently, I'm now told by my very dependable source, the appearance of Bruce Campbell as Quentin Beck [aka Mysterio] in Spider-Man 3 is to play out something a little like this: Peter Parker finds out about a Spider-Man movie being made and goes to the set to check it out. Avi Arad and Sam Raimi have cameos as the producer and director. Quentin Beck is the movie's special FX guy. The fact that Peter and MJ are both in the public eye - though one can never reveal that he is - is milked for a little bit of fun too. This brief cameo appearance by Beck is just about the full the breadth and depth of the "4th villain" mystery. That makes this a genuine spoiler, I suppose." July 23, 2006: Venom Revealed! Arad says they may reveal the fourth villian at this years San Diego COmic-con. WE'll keep on eye on that! Thanks to 'RyanOC' for the heads up! April 12, 2006: Thomas Haden Church spoke to MSN Movies about Spider-man 3, here is a clip: [Director Sam Raimi] and I started having really involved sessions about who the guy was," Church says. "Clearly, it's taken from the fourth issue of 'Spider-Man,' which was when Sandman was introduced and which I now have framed on my wall." Church is still sworn to secrecy regarding plot details (he might want to consider moonlighting as a CIA agent), but he wants to let fans know they won't be disappointed. "I'm overwhelmed every time I'm around Sam," Church says. "He's been showing me [stuff] since the beginning of last summer. 'This is what we are going to be doing in this sequence, this is what Spider-Man is going to be doing and this is what Venom is going to be doing.' It is a massive, massive process."
