Who will play ‘Conan’?

According to Deadline Hollywood, Lionsgate and Millenium Films have picked the actor to play the lead role in Marcus Nispel’s reinvention of Robert E. Howard’s Conan and it’s 30-year-old Jason Momoa, who may best be known for his run on “Stargate Atlantis” and who also appears in HBO’s upcoming mini-series “Game of Thrones.”
At the same time, Latino Review says that an offer has been put out to Mickey Rourke to play Conan’s father Corin.
The movie is scheduled to start production in Bulgaria on March 15.

Boo. This doesn’t seem right at all. I know how everyone feels about professional wrestlers in film, but this is one of the few occasions where I think a wrestler would be right for the part. I really do think HHH would make a good Conan. Sorry, Jason Momoa, but you do not fit the part in my eyes.

Just because Arnold was flat and unintersting doesnt mean teh character has to be. HHH cant act in movies, he can act in a ring sure, but its too diferent things. Im not sure if Jason Momoa is the best choice but he’s much better then any profesional wrestler. cna you honestly look someone in the eye after watching blade 3 and say that HHH should act in a lead role? i sure couldnt.

I don’t know he seems a little to Kevin Sorbo in Hercules and the Legendary Journeys for me. Let’s face it you will never be able to replace Arnold. He brought the character to life.
