Best CBM Casting of All Time – Nasseruddin Shah VS. Stuart Townsend
By FavaBeans | January 29, 2010
Last week’s match-up proved to be a battle indeed. Hugo Weaving’s voice as V overpowers the mighty Kryptonian in Christopher Reeeve’s Superman. Hugo wins it 12-10
**I just want to remind everyone voting to include, clearly, who you are voting for. Posting a general comment on who you think should win may not get counted if your vote isn’t clearly stated. “My vote is for…. ” is ideal.
Also, it’s important to note that you are voting for casting, not the character itself, or if the two would win a fight. You are voting on who you beleive was the better casting choice for the character.
The game works like this – Each week 2 actors/actresses will be matched up against one another (randomnly, there’s is no bias in the match-ups), and it’s up to you, the fans, to decide who was the better choice to play the part. At the end, the winner with the most votes moves on to the next round. A new match up will be posted every Friday and will last one week!
Continue on to learn more and vote on this week’s match up!

Townsend as Dorian Grey was awesome. He gets my vote.

Naseeruddin Shah. This is a no brainer for me.
January 29th, 2010 at 4:23 pm
Naseeruddin Shah because Stewart Townsend is an idiot.
January 29th, 2010 at 4:57 pm
Stuart Townsend even though I agree 110% with Landfill.
January 29th, 2010 at 5:54 pm
Even though Townsend is an idiot personal feelings aside i think he did a better job as Dorian Grey. My vote is for townsend.
January 29th, 2010 at 7:37 pm
I also vote Townsand because I thought that they screwed up C.Nemo in both the comics and the movie.
January 30th, 2010 at 12:27 am
My vote is for Shah…i personally liked his Nemo and i dont really care for Townsend’s acting…
January 30th, 2010 at 12:29 am
Never heard of Captain Nemo, but I did read The Portrait of Dorian Gray, so I can honestly say Townsand did a great job. I have have question though, why is he an idiot?
January 30th, 2010 at 1:26 am
Stuart Townsend. He was excellent, capturing the arrogance of Dorian Gray. I’d love to see what he could do as The Crow…
January 30th, 2010 at 2:42 pm
Going with Shah, because Dorian had no reason to be in the movie since he wasn’t in the comic book.
January 30th, 2010 at 7:47 pm
Shah all the way.
and ecaminos84 to answer your question, he is an idiot to many because he is a prima donna to work with. He was replaced by Viggo Mortensen in Lord of the Rings and most recently in Thor due to “creative differences” with the director.

Noooooo we’re seriously giving someone from this friggin movie a free pass to the 2nd round??? No one gets my vote, you will be awarded no points, and may God have mercy on your soul
January 31st, 2010 at 7:59 am
everyone in this room is now dumber for listening to your answer
February 1st, 2010 at 12:15 am
Haha good man!
February 1st, 2010 at 1:42 pm
i agree with warrior54, the movie sucked, neither should get to move on to the next round.
February 1st, 2010 at 10:04 pm
I’ve never seen the movie so I can’t vote.
But, warrior54, to correct your statement, we are actually giving them a “pass” to the 3rd round because this is the 2nd Round, right now.
(The entire 1st Round and first half of the 2nd were done on the Message Board [section: Previously Releashed CBMs], if you you want to see them.)
