Will Anne Hathaway Play Black Cat in ‘Spider-man 4′?

This last week we’ve informed you Black Cat will reportedly have a role in the fourth installment of the Spider-man film franchise. First, we heard Rachel McAdams was a lead candidate for the role and Romola Garai had auditioned. More recently we heard Julia Stiles met with a casting director for the role of Felicia Hardy.
Yesterday, fan favorite Rachel McAdams informed all of her fans who were dying to see her play Black Cat that she has not heard anything about the upcoming CBM. It was very devastating but we have to look to the future and move on to find more Black Cat candidates which brings us to today’s news.
Nikkie Finke from Deadline Hollywood has the exclusive. Finke says her sources tell her Anne Hathaway is wanted by the producers of the upcoming CBM.
At first Finke reported Hathaway was wanted but was uncertain as to the role she would be playing. She updated her article a little while later after figuring out all the casting rumors for Black Cat.
After hearing all the news recently about who should play Felicia Hardy/Black Cat, Hathaway is a definite possibility. I really liked the idea of Rachel McAdams, as most of you did according to our poll. She could have pulled it off but she confirmed she has no idea what’s going on with Spider-man 4. Insert Anne Hathaway please.
Hathaway has proven she can act, she was nominated for an Academy Award just last year for Rachel Getting Married. Other than McAdams, Hathaway is the most believable as Black Cat out of all the other candidates.
I realize Julia Stiles would bring a strong presence to the screen which would rival Spider-man’s but Hathaway is no different. Basically, everything I said I liked about Stiles, the same thing for Hathaway.
With today’s news, I’d have to put Anne Hathaway at the top of my wish-list with second going to Rachel McAdams. I would tie the other two but we haven’t heard too much from Romola Garai so Julia Stiles would have to come in third.

Well so far i would have to put my money on Anne Hathaway. I think that would be a good choice for the fact that it is a love intrest for parker….providing they dont screw that up as well and with Hathaway as hot as she is it will bring a nice change than seeing Kirsten Dunst play MJ ….gah

I’m torn on this one. Felicia Hardy is kind of a dirty flirt. I can’t imagine Anne Hathaway as a dirty flirt. She is hot, don’t get me wrong, and we know she can act, that’s not even debatable; BUT I don’t know if she has the proper dirty flirt vibe. For example, Elisha Cuthbert has dirty flirt written all over her. Can Hathaway get to that level? I don’t know. It will definitely be interesting to follow this role.

Since day one, I had my doubts about all the previous candidates, I even voted for someone else in the poll. I wanted more options and I knew there was someone better for the role, at least in my opinion.
Anne Hathaway is the answer, she is great, and I liked her sense of humor in Get Smart. My only problem is that I can’t picture her as blond.
