Rachel McAdams Talks ‘Spider-man 4′
By Landfill | November 17, 2009
Remember last week we told you Black Cat was almost a guarantee for Spider-man 4 with Rachel McAdams to play the part? Yeah well she was hanging out in Toronto recently, possibly doing some press for her upcoming film, Sherlock Holmes, when someone asked her if she was doing Spider-man 4. Continue with this article to see what the actress had to say.
According to Entertainment Weekly, McAdams isn’t playing Black Cat in the upcoming CBM. “That’s a total rumor, I have to say. I was hanging out in Toronto the other day and someone came up to me and said, ‘I just heard you’re doing Spider-Man 4.‘ And I said, ‘Really? No one told me!’ It’s not true.”
EW confirms this as untrue when they spoke with a representative from Sony. The Sony rep said, “It’s an Internet rumor, as so many things are these days.”
This is too bad but it doesn’t necessarily mean she’s out of the running. If anything, her name was probably thrown around during a brainstorming session to see who could play Felicia Hardy. She’s a great choice for the role and she could still possibly play the part.
I think I speak for everyone here by saying McAdams would have been a great Black Cat. As you can see, our polls indicate 36% of you voted for McAdams which means she’s a decent choice.
If not McAdams, who would you want cast as Felicia Hardy/Black Cat? Share your thoughts and ideas with us in the comments.

Elisha Cuthbert is a good pick. I would have never thought of her, but she’s awesome.
