Joe Quesada & Brian Bendis Update ‘Thor’

Since Thor is getting ready to start shooting soon, it’s very likely they already have sets built for the upcoming CBM. Those sets were recently visited by Marvel’s Editor-In-Chief Joe Quesada and Latest New Avengers writer, Brian Michael Bendis.
Quesada said, via his Twitter account, “I could listen to Branagh talk about ‘Thor’ all day long,” realizing the passion the director has for the character. “Cast is in place, sets are being built and screenplay is brilliant. Marveldom rules!”

Brian Michael Bendis said via his Twitter account, “Thor movie meeting with Ken Branagh was over the top amazing. Visited the sets! I was in Odin’s chamber!”
While Bendis has been in love with Branagh’s take on the Norse God, we haven’t really heard too much from Quesada. It’s really nice to know both of the comic book contributors are big fans of Branagh’s Thor.
I think it’s amazing Bendis was actually on one of the many sets built for the upcoming CBM. It’s also amazing he actually got to see Odin’s chamber. I can’t wait to see how it all looks and am anxiously looking forward to any production photos we might receive in the not to distant future.
Thor star Chris Hemsworth as the Norse God of Thunder, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Tom Hiddelston as Loki, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Ray Stevenson, Stuart Townsend, Tadanobu Asano as The Warriors Three, and Jaimie Alexander as Sif. Colm Feore will play an, as of yet, unspecified villain role and Stellen Skarsgard has an unconfirmed role. Thor has a scheduled release date for May 20, 2011.
