I would love to see some sort of identity crisis. Spiderclone or doppelganger of even chameleon would really cause spidey to assess how to handle a PR problem. I would also like to see Jameson fund some sort of anti-spiderman project; scorpion, rhino and the like. How does peter handle this work vs. hero problem.

I know the source of the article says Lizard might not be a possibility but it would be great to see. I think he could grow to a point where he can’t have loved ones or people he knows in harms way, maybe set up a storyline where he actually does withdrawal from his family and stays away from everyone. Possibly in the next movie we see him start to come out of it and realize he can’t change certain things. I would assume Mysterio would find out who he is and start to bring in his special effects to mess with Pete’s mind.

I realize that’s not a very good storyline at all but it’s a possibility. I know Pete has went through those changes in the first two films but maybe he takes himself serious this time, especially with the death of his best friend Harry.

If it really were Mysterio and the Lizard, I would be 100% happy. Those are two of my favorite Spidey villains. So the growth that he’s referring to would be what then, I wonder.

I don’t think Black Cat would be considered a villain at all to Raimi and company. I think we’re looking at Lizard and mysterio here but I could be totally wrong.

I agree Carnage shouldn’t be in a Spider-man film but with the ratings system these days, they could get by with alot of stuff. I mean just take a look at Dark Knight.

I don’t think the studio is going to pressure Raimi into anything this time since it didn’t work out well the last time they did that. He’s going to make the movie he wants and Avi Arad won’t be around suggesting Venom or Carnage in every other sentence.

I am looking forward to seeing the Lizard in x=screen, I feel it is about time. I just hope Raimi and company don’t feel pressured to bring in another fan-favorite to make money. Carnage should not be in a Spider-man film and I stand by the feeling that unless it’s rated R( which no more rated-R CBM will ever be made anymore) Carnage can’t work properly as he was intentionally created.

I wonder if that means he’s going to have to resist the temptations of Black Cat and her living-on-the-edge lifestyle. That would show how Spider-man would need to grow in terms of taking more responsibility for his actions and everything. But, there would more than likely need to be another villain along with the Black Cat.
