Dylan Baker Talks ‘Spider-man 4′

Still wondering who the next villain in Spider-man 4 is going to be? Always wondered why Raimi added Dr. Connors but didn’t ever show his true nature, you know, the scaly kind? Today Dylan Baker gives an update to his role from the Spider-man films. UGO has the exclusive and asked the actor what was going on with his role in the fourth installment. While promoting his latest film Trick r’ Treat with director Michael Doughtery, Dylan was asked if he were going to be in the next movie, he simply said, “yes”.
While he will be in the next film, he later said in the Q & A that the role will most likely be the same it’s always been since 2004. In other words, we’re not getting the Lizard just yet.
Alot of other sites are speculating that Baker could be throwing us off the scent and possibly hiding the true nature of the role. It’s very possible but highly unlikely since the script isn’t necessarily done just yet.
A few updates back we informed you Gary Ross was finishing up the script in order to bring the characters to life before principle photography starts next March. As of right now, no character is certain other than Spider-man, Mary Jane, Bruce Campbell’s, and now, Connor.
I have to say that it would be nice to see Baker play a villain, it would be nice to have Lizard in the next Spider-man film but for right now, we have to live and die on every small update we get. Right now, nothing is certain until Raimi or Gary Ross confirm it.

I doubt we will see lizard in the next movie, but I’m hoping that Dr. Connors has a larger role and possibly loses his arm in the next film, setting us up for Dr. Lizard in Spider man 5.

I still say Lizard/Kraven unless they do another villian that sets up Lizard for part 5

Meh, it happens. I just happen to catch the pin holding his sleave up. Small details slip through sometimes when we are engrossed with the big picture

ben reilly for spiderman 5 and 6
there should be a clone saga..bring on the ben reilly costume scarlet and red and blue variant..
Doesnt anyone else want to see that??
And kraven the hunter would be the better villian with bruce campbell playing..

I wouldn’t mind seeing a Clone War storyline. I said this in an earlier comment. Scarlet Spider would be amazing to see. I think that most fans would agree if the Venom we saw in Spider-man 3 was switched and Scarlet Spider instead, most people wouldn’t mind the movie.
Yes it had too many villains that weren’t developed too well but that’s the past, we need to move forward. With Spider-man 4 right around the corner, we can only hope it gets better with time.
I think it’s cool that you guys have enough confidence in Bruce Campbell to play Kraven. I think it would do a decent job, but he’s made for Mysterio. I would like to see someone that actually looks like Kraven to play Kraven. Bruce could look like him with make up or whatever but an actor would really shine if they were given the role. I really wouldn’t mind seeing Dominic Purcell or someone like that play the part. Just a suggestion…

I wouldn’t mind seeing 2 villians . first half the movie spidey battles someone like Wendigo. while the story of the lizard is taking place. then a climactic battle at the end. I just like Wendigo. I know it’s a longshot. But i think it would work. Set up Cambell storyline as Kraven for the next movie.
