Charlize Theron Wants Catwoman Role in ‘Dark Knight’ Sequel

The news surrounding the third Batman film has been crazy ever since The Dark Knight was released over a year ago. Rumors have been outright ridiculous to top notch casting according to most of us. Today is obviously no different since this rumor is outrageous, in a good way of course, to say the least. Continue along to see what Charlize Theron has to say about being Catwoman in the inevitable sequel in the Batman franchise.
This quote courtesy of STV Entertainment.”It’s news to me, but that’s kick-ass news. I like that… I think that what has happened to that franchise is amazing, and director Chris Nolan is a genius. So I would be an idiot to not consider that.”
It’s great that she wants the role and I don’t have a doubt in my she would be a perfect choice for Selina Kyle. I think she should seriously be considered for the role.
She joins the elite group of actresses who have been rumored to be the next Catwoman like Rachel Weisz, Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox, Rhona Mitra, and Kate Beckinsale.
The only problem I’d have with any of those actresses is Megan Fox. Yes, she’s very attractive but hasn’t shown any acting ability worth catching Nolan’s attention yet. If she were cast, I’d hope she would bring her A game to try to hang with the talent that’s already attached to the next Batman film.
As of right now, there is no movement for a third Batman film, I think I read somewhere that Nolan is the only writer attached for another Bat-film. He’s going to be busy with Inception, his latest film, for a while so we shouldn’t be hearing anything official until late 2010.

Oh we were talking bout it in another news piece.
A few of us mentioned their pick, like Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox, Marion Cotillard, Kate Hudson (my fault lol).
But from all of them now I prefer Charlize Theron, she would be a great asset for the franchise and could give us an amazing performance.
A close second for me would be Marion Cotillard, she was great in Public Enemies, short part tho.

I totally agree with maraf. I would choose Charlize Theron over all my previous picks. She has all the right attributes. Perfect rumor. I would love to see this rumor come to fruition.

hahah of course, why would u even think that!?
Charlize Theron can act (see Devil’s Advocate) and looks close enough etc. Not perfect, but they could do a lot worse!
