Cam Gigandet Talks Motorcycles and Weapons in ‘Priest’

By Landfill | October 5, 2009

CamWe reported in the past that Cam Gigandet would star alongside Paul Bettany in the upcoming CBM Priest. Today we’re bringing a few quotes from Cam talking about Guns, Knives, and Bikes that he gets to use in the making of the film. Continue with the article to find out what’s the latest from Priest.

“The sets [of Priest] are just unbelievable—and we ride around on motorcycles,” Gigandet told MTV last week.

“I’d never ridden a motorcycle before this movie,” he said. “They trained us on how to ride motorcycles and all that. Then I finally got to ride my motorcycle on set, and it is a huge beast of a motorcycle. It’s one of the coolest motorcycles, and Priest is on a motorcycle as well, and we get to ride in the middle of the desert on salt flats—it [looks] like those Chevy commercials.”

“We get to ride in the open plains, just me and him in the middle of nowhere, it’s probably one of the best feelings in the world,” Cam said of the film with Paul Bettany.

Cam went on to say he’s been in a string of films where he plays the villain but this time he’s a good guy. His character Hicks, is  a boy who’s on his way to becoming a man while battling vampires from time to time with huge weapons. I have an unbelievable knife; I have an unbelievable gun.”

“I have a handgun that’s humongous. I mean, I can barely even hold it up,” he laughed. “I also have a big shotgun strapped to my back. Not too shabby.”

Gigandet went on to tell MTV his wardrobe is a mix of Cowboy and Biker rolled into one. He also said it can get hot from time to time while shooting the film, “But [wearing the clothes and riding on the bike] is definitely one of the coolest things that you get to do—feeling like a badass.”
