Plummer and Dourif Join ‘Priest’

We’ve been reporting on Priest since August and September is no different. The latest reporting we did was a few weeks ago we brought some production photos with star Paul Bettany and Cam Gigandet. Today we bring more casting news for the upcoming CBM.
Thanks to Devin from Chud, we get the latest news from Director Scott Stewart’s Twitter account. Christopher Plummer (UP, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus) and Brad Dourif (The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Halloween Remake) are joining the cast of Priest which already consists of Bettany and Gigandet along with Stephen Moyer, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, and Lily Collins.
The upcoming CBM involves Bettany playing Ivan Isaacs, a warrior Priest who turns his back on the church to hunt vampires who kidnapped his niece played by Collins.
We can expect in the near future as to what roles Plummer and Dourif will play in the movie so stay tuned.
Priest is in it’s fourth week of filming and has a scheduled release date for August 13, 2010.
UPDATE: According to Variety, Madchen Amick (Californication, Gossip Girl) has also joined the cast. She will play the mother to the niece that has been kidnapped by vampires lead by Karl Urban’s character. An image of of the newly cast actress is below.
